Ripon "Hornblower" Sprint Duathlon 25 March 

Based at Ripon Grammar School just to the west of the City Centre. The runs are flat and fast, but the bike is over an undulating route on the much more attractive west of the city in the foothills of the Yorkshire Dales. The final 3-mile downhill blast past Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal deer park are sure to put a smile in your face.  For more information or to enter, click here.

 

Hot Cross Bun 1 April 

This event commences at 9am. The format of the event is a 5km run, followed by a 20km cycle ride and then a 5km run to finish. Or enter as a relay team of 2, where one of you will cycle and the other will run.

The run route takes you from the start line in Victoria Park through the underpass and along the Airedale Greenway to the newly refurbished Cliffe Castle Park. After completing a loop of this its back along the Airedale Greenway to Victoria Park and the transition zone in the MUGA where only participants and officials will be allowed to enter, ensuring the security of the bikes.

Exiting the MUGA, participants then take on a 20km ride up to Bronte Country including a climb of the iconic Haworth Main Street and Penistone Hill. The route then goes to Oxenhope where you pass the entrance to Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice which benefits from this event. Then it’s back to Victoria Park and the transition zone before a repeat of the 5km run. At the finish all participants will receive a medal and, as its Easter day a hot cross bun.

Holmfirth Junior Duathlon 2018 8 April 

Image result for holmfirth junior duathlonFriendly duathlon (run, bike, run) event for all abilities age 8 to 19 (age at 31 December 2018) run by Holmfirth Harriers AC. 

Safe, Fun Event!  Grass run and closed circuit tarmac bike.

The event is held under British Triathlon rules and is part of the Yorkshire Regional Triathlon Series. To have your result in this race contribute to the Yorkshire Series or to be considered for the Yorkshire IRC Squad, you must have BTF/Home Nations Annual Membership and use your membership number when entering this race. Details on annual membership can be found here https://www.britishtriathlon.org/get-involved/membership/junior-membership If you are just doing this for a bit of fun or to try out, don’t worry, you can purchase day membership for £1 as part of the entry process.

NYP Duathlon Series Race 1 11 April 

A Duathlon for Members and visitors based at Ripon Racecourse. A 1 mile off road run around the racecourse followed by a 16-mile cycle on flat roads through some local villages followed by a 1 mile run around the racecourse. Friendly and welcoming to novices and experienced participants. Minimum age is 15.

Skipton Triathlon 15 April 

Image result for skipton triathlonOne of the biggest and best pool-based triathlon in England, now in it's 13th year.
Sprint distance race based at the fabulous Aireville Park and Craven Swimming pool. Popular with first timers and women and very popular with club members as one of the first races of the year with 80 different clubs represented.
Race also has a competitive team entry field and a standard prize field with a £1000 prize pot. 

We have a max swim time of 20minutes so if you're new to Triathlons please time yourself for the 400meters / 16 lengths to get an accurate swim time for your entry.  In the 2017 race we only had a couple of people that swam 20mins.

Richmond Sprint Triathlon 29 April 

Image result for richmond aquathlonAn early season pool-based sprint triathlon. The bike route is challenging with some fast decents and takes in part of the old Catterick tri route. You will be sure to enjoy the scenery as you ride over the open countryside. The run will be off road on public footpaths adjacent to the beautiful river Swale.
