Novice Friendly, Early Season Opener, Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
On Sunday 24th April 2022, Fast FWD Sports will host its first race of the 2022 season at Ancholme Leisure Centre, Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
This popular season opening event is back after a brief lull due to the pandemic.
Ever popular with the local triathlon community, novice participants and competitors from all over the country, the course is well suited to first timers or experienced campaigners.
The race starts with a 400m swim in the lovely 5 lane, 25m pool in Ancholme Leisure Centre, then a short distance from the water to the generously sized secure transition area located in the 5 a side football pitch with all weather surface. On to the bike for a flat and fast 25km cycle route out through Hibalstow in the Lincolnshire countryside to the roundabout at Redbourne and back again.
On to the 5k run and a new 85% traffic free out and back run course on mixed terrain, heading out again into the countryside and past Brigg Power Station, before crossing the finish line back in the grounds of the Leisure Centre.
