GO TRI Hull is back!

Sunday saw the return of GO TRI action in Yorkshire with GO TRI Hull held at Ennerdale Cycle Track.

GO TRI is British Triathlon’s introductory programme of activities, with local organisers hosting GO TRI Events and Active Sessions across the country to provide accessible opportunities for newcomers to give multisport a go.

The purpose build 1km cycle circuit welcomed around 20 participants to take on the challenge.

With social distancing and Covid-19 measures in place at the venue, participants completed a 2km run, 5km bike and 1km run in a time-trial format, setting off at 10 second intervals to help them keep apart in the build up to and during the event.

Organiser Tim Pattle said "It couldn't have gone any better to be honest! It was great to be back up and running. There were lots of first timers there too which was great."

British Triathlon have provided guidance to event organisers to help them in planning and putting on safe, Covid-19 Secure events. Those that demonstrate this in their safety documents are issued with a permit to hold their event.
