Earn race credits and rewards at Allerthorpe Lakeland Park this summer!

Working in collaboration with Triathlon England Yorkshire Region, Marauder is a committed team of multi-sport enthusiasts and race-organisers.

Their calendar of fun, friendly Allerthorpe triathlons depend on volunteers to help make each event a smoothly-run success. 

Sprint, super sprint, and Olympic triathlons will be held at Allerthorpe Lakeland Park (near York) on Sundays 19^th June, 7^th August, and 4^th September.  The 4^th September date also includes a uniquely challenging Sundowner Triathlon, which as its name implies, will see some competitors finishing as the sun sets.

If you’d like to get involved with the volunteering action, the first triathlon takes place on Sunday 19^th June.  You’ll arrive at 7:30am and finish no later than 1pm… just in time for a well-deserved lunch!

Typically, volunteer marshal duties include:

• Directing cars for parking
• Performing kit checks and distributing race numbers/trackers
• Staffing refreshment stops and checkpoints
• Advising runners about route safety
• Sweeping the course and removing tape/signage
• Recording finish times/ensuring athletes are fed and watered

To recognise the importance of your role – and to say thanks – you’ll earn volunteer credits to redeem against the race of your choice. 

(Marauder events are known for their addictive atmosphere of warmth and support, so if you haven’t participated in one yet, you’re in for a treat!)

What else?  Tea and coffee will be available on arrival, and you’ll leave with a stylish musette containing a water bottle, a T-shirt, and some tasty snacks.
