Mental Health Awareness Week with British Triathlon

Published:

Monday 18 May to Sunday 24 May is Mental Health Awareness Week. With the theme being ‘kindness’, we’re celebrating the amazing support that’s being offered throughout the multisport community.

Today marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness week and throughout the week, we will be sharing various examples of kindness from the people in this sport, as well as resources and advice on where to go if you help and support with your own mental health.

We are lucky enough to be part of an amazing sporting community that shows incredible support for one another, especially through the unprecedented times we are currently enduring.

The week opens with a video from PTVI guide, Nikki Bartlett and lead paratriathlon coach, Bex Milnes. Here, the two discuss how they are practicing self-care, what they are doing to keep their community smiling and how they are staying motivated during the lockdown period.

More content will follow throughout the week on British Triathlon’s social media accounts, including advice on coping with lockdown, inspiration stories of kindness within the sporting community and resources for you to find any help that you may need.

How have been spreading acts of kindness? Send your photos and videos to British Triathlon’s social media channels so we can celebrate them as a community.
