Dalby Duathlon - Sunday 14th October 2018
Dalby Forest, Yorkshire's premier mountain bike destination are excited to announce that after the success of the GO TRI Duathlons they will be hosting their first full Off-Road Duathlon Event on Sunday 14th October 2018.
Starting at Adderstone Field, 4 miles along the main road from the visitors centre, the course consists of 5km off road trail run, 13km mountain bike ride taking in some of the famous green route, followed by a 2.5km run.
Michelle Scott, Regional Manager for Yorkshire said “This is the only Off-Road Duathlon in Yorkshire currently on the calendar outside of GO TRI Events. It is great to see Dalby Forest giving people the opportunity to try something a little different rather then the standard cycle part being held on a road.”
The distances and the fact this is off-road will see the event attract those outside of the regular triathlon scene, with the hope that it will attract regular mountain bike riders, running groups and relay teams.
Amy Garret, Development Officer (Projects) North Yorkshire Sport said “We’re really excited to be having our first off road Duathlon at Dalby Forest as part of the Active Forest programme. An exciting new route which is open to all abilities. A beautiful route around the stunning scenery of Dalby Forest – definitely don’t want to miss it! Be a part of history in our first Off Road Duathlon, we look forward to welcoming you to Dalby!”.
