Eighteen weeks since the first race, 550 athletes across all events, 63 clubs represented and 134 athletes competing for the Yorkshire Junior Triathlon Series podium places.

The 2017 series has been a huge success across all age groups, but exceptionally well attended in the TriStar 1 & 2 range (ages 9-12) with 344 athletes taking part in at least one of the 9 races organised across the region.

The final 3 races of the season showcased the diversity of challenges faced throughout the season with Holmfirth hosting their duathlon on the super quick Brooksbank bike circuit, followed by the Ilkley Aquathlon which took place in the beautiful grounds of Ilkley Lido and lastly the well regarded Craven Energy Triathlon in Skipton. The last 2 races selling out months ahead of race day.

The series also provided 3 of the 4 qualifying races for the Yorkshire IRC squad selection, where 12 athletes raced in the blue tri-suits of Yorkshire against the best in the country at Mallory Park.

Prizes for the top 3 series finishers will be awarded for each age-group/gender along with the highest points scorer for each age-group/gender (showing that consistency is an important part of triathlon). The prize giving will take place on the 29th October in York, as part of the Yorkshire AGM. Details of activities & logistics will follow shortly.
