“The Edge” Supersprint, Sprint and Standard Open Water Triathlon and Aquabike. In Cadney reservoir Nr Brigg, North Lincolinshire.
On Sunday 18th July 2021, Fast FWD Sports will host its first race of the 2021 season at Cadney Reservoir Nr Brigg North Lincolnshire.
Entries for the 2021 Lincolnshire Edge Triathlon by FastFWD Sports are now open. Taking place on 18th July, the event has races over supersprint, sprint and standard distances, as well as two aquabike events over sprint and standard distances. First held in 2015 “The Edge” is back. After a break of 4 years the team at FastFWD Sports have reintroduced the race into this season’s calendar, hosting the only open water supersprint, sprint, standard and aquabike event in Lincolnshire.
The event is suitable for everyone, whether you are a seasoned racer or you are looking to enter your very first triathlon.
Andy Lakeland, Event organiser said; “Fast FWD Sports are excited to be reintroducing “The Edge” after a break of 4 years. The number of times I have been asked, “When will the Edge be back,” has been overwhelming. The return has been delayed by a year due to the pandemic but at last now we can say, “It’s back on the 18th July”.
The swim is a safe and secure 400m or 750m lap in Anglian Waters’ Cadney reservoir near Brigg, North Lincolnshire DN20 9HR, and also makes for excellent viewing for spectators during the events. This event boasts an honest bike course in the fabulous Lincolnshire countryside with plenty of opportunities to get into aero but a few cheeky hills to keep a level playing field. The run starts around the reservoir then onto the quiet country lane of Brigg Road before a finish line chute in front of spectators in the grounds of the reservoir.
New for this year will be the option to do a Supersprint Triathlon, or a Sprint or Standard Aquabike (swim and bike).
