3rd April & 1st May – GO TRI HULL
The aim of the events is for people to discover the sport and enjoying the achievement of finishing an event and believing that triathlon and its multi related distances is for them. Every Month throughout the year Humber Triathletes will be hosting these low key events at East Park, Hull. The model boat lake is being drained, cleaned and refilled at the moment for our use, so until then will be organising Duathlons consisting of a 1.5km run, 6.6km bike and a 1.5km run. 10th April – Holmfirth Junior Duathlon
A new event for 2016 and part of the Yorkshire Regional Junior Triathlon Series 2016.
Holmfirth Harriers are very happy to offer the Holmfirth Junior Duathon at the purpose built cycle track in Elland. Catogories for Tri Start right through to Youth.

10th April – The Dales Duathlon
Returning for 2016 is The Dales Duathlon based in the beautiful setting of the East Yorkshire Dales.
The race will be hosted at Brantingham Park, East Yorkshire and will provide racers and supporters with a grandstand finish, live entertainment and sports specialist stalls.

10th April - York Tri Club Sprint Duathlon
A new event for 2016
Sprint Distance Duathlon at Ampleforth Abbey and College organised by York Tri Club. Featuring the stunning backdrop of Ampleforth Abbey for the start and finish with both runs within the grounds. The bike course uses the Ryedale Grand Prix circuit taking in the beautiful scenery and climbs of the Howardian Hills.

17th April – Skipton Triathlon
A pool based Sprint Distance Triathlon, Ideally suited to the Novice competitor or the more experienced triathlete. The extremely friendly atmosphere that goes with this event always attracts a large number of first time triathletes. Situated at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, you can be guaranteed of a beautifully picturesque and achievable course.

24th April – Epworth Early Sprint Triathlon
A pool based Triathlon great for novices, starting at Epworth Pool. Distances include a 400m Pool Swim, followed by a 20Km Bike and 5K Run.

24th April - GO TRI Skipton
GO TRI Skipton returns for 2016. A very short supersprint triathlon designed for complete beginners and ideal to give the sport a go is coming to Skipton. A relaxed environment event for those who wish to dip their toes into triathlon for the first time alongside others who wish to undertake what promises to be an enjoyable summers morning. The Skipton GO TRI event will comprise of 200m swim, 9km bike based on the roads around Skipton, followed by a 2.5km Run around the scenic Aireville Park using mainly a tarmac surface alongside some short grass sections.

1st May - Pocklington Triathlon
The inaugural Pocklington Triathlon. Sprint event, 400yds swim (pool), 14 mile cycle, 3.5 mile run. Cycle & run flat. Open to persons over 16 years of age, Sponsored by Camp Hippo. Held at Pocklington School, Goody bag to all entrants including T-Shirt. Prizes for age groups.

2nd May – Tadcaster Sprint Triathlon
This is an ideal race for beginners looking for a short distance race without the extra challenge of open water or experienced triathletes who are looking for an early season warm up event.

8th May – Richmond Aquathlon
A pool based swim followed by a scenic run along the footpaths adjoining the beautiful River Swale for everyone aged 8 upwards. Goody bags/mementos for all junior finishers from Tristart to Tristar 3. Races of varying distance depending on age. This is for adults and juniors.

8th May – Wakefield Junior Triathlon
Part of the Yorkshire Regional Junior Triathlon Series 2016.
This is an open water event. During the swim, safety boats and adult swimmers will be close to the athletes at all times. The bike and run courses are on grass and a cyclocross bike or mountain bike will be most suitable.
Fun event with a serious side if you want IRC points.

15th May – Cleveland Sprint Triathlon
The swim will be 400 metres [16 lengths in Stokesley Leisure Centre's 25 metre 6 lane pool]. The bike will be approximately 11 miles around the country lanes of Stokesley, Ingleby Greenhow and Battersby. The course is undulating. The run is 3 miles and is an out and back course.

15th May - First of the Summer Tri
A sprint triathlon based in the picturesque small town of Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, home of the BBC's sitcom Last of the Summer Wine. Perfect for first time triathletes and seasoned elites, the event comprises a 400m swim, 24km bike and 5.8km run.

15th May – Holme Moss Duathlon (Hell on t’Hills)
Take on the hills of Yorkshire in this great Duathlon event. A Challenging but achievable on road Duathlon taking in fantastic views of the Holmfirth countryside, south of Huddersfield.
Organised and marshalled by Holmfirth Harriers the Race consisits of: 7km run, 33km bike, 5km run

15th May – The Harrogate Triathlon
Start the season with the fantastic Harrogate Triathlon taking place in and around the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. The event is organised by Harrogate Tri Club and aims to be family-friendly with a Try-a-Tri and a Sprint Triathlon offered. To keep spectators entertained, there will be plenty of fun activities near the transition area (not to mention that competitors in the sprint triathlon will pass by 6 times). 22nd May – Driffield Triathlon
A pool based Sprint Distance Triathlon, ideally suited to the Novice competitor or the more experienced triathlete. The extremely friendly atmosphere that goes with this event always attracts a large number of first time triathletes. Suitable for all levels and abilities. Ages Youth to 70+ Also included is the Driffield Junior Triathlon. A completely safe and self contained course with lots of opportunities to view the junior triathletes taking part.

30th May – Wetherby Standard Distance Triathlon
This will be the 10th year that this race has run gaining in popularity each year. The course starts with a 1500m swim in the river up and down stream. The out and back bike is mainly on the fast and quiet A168 to Boroughbridge. The run is on the traffic free sustrans cycleway between Wetherby and Spofforth.
