Fearnville is a small, easy-to-navigate council-run gym in the inner east of Leeds in-between Roundhay Road and York Road. It is run by friendly, helpful staff and has a lot of great facilities. For the purposes of GO Tri participants will be using Fearnville's well lit pool which naturally leads out onto the rugby pitch, where the cycle will take place and the playing field, where the run will happen. There are changing rooms and toilets, disabled toilets, a reception and food and drink machines.

Overview

This complete beginner's GO TRI will be a full triathlon-style taster for people in the Inner East and North East of Leeds. The GO TRI event is part of the TRI SOMETHING NEW programme launched by Leeds City Council and British Triathlon and supported by Sport England. The event will give you a fantastic opportunity to try multisport in a fun and friendly environment.

There will be a swim followed by a cycle and finally a short run. The best part is the whole event will take place within the grounds of Fearnville Leisure Centre with assistance from professional Triathlon coaches from Leeds and Bradford Triathlon Club!

Bikes, helmets and a whole host of equipment will be provided.

If you want to use your own bike you can, as long as you wear a helmet (your own or one provided).

The event will take place on Thursday, June 2nd 2016 between 6-8pm. Whats more, there is an Intro to Tri activitytaking place on Thursday 19th May, from 6-8pm. This intro will allow participants to learn about what a GO TRI is and get an idea of the course in preparation for the big day!

We hope to see as many people there as possible! Tri something new and most importantly, something fun!
