Meeting point
The Severn Centre opened in September 2004 and is a multi-purpose sports and community centre in Highley, the largest village in South Shropshire.
It provides high-quality community, leisure, health and life-long learning facilities for the people of Highley and its surrounding areas. The £3.5 million project was developed as a multi agency partnership following extensive research and consultation.
The Severn Centre is a community focused, 'not-for-profit' organisation. The money we make from memberships and the bookings of our sports facilities and meeting and conference rooms is ploughed back into the centre, meaning there are no shareholders and the money goes towards the running of the centre and the facilities we offer to you.

Overview
The 1st Highley Relay Triathlon takes place on the popular scenic Highley Sprint Triathlon course, it starts with a 400 meter swim in our heated open air pool, after Transition the next participant heads out on the Hilly 17.5km bike route, it has two big hills but plenty of flats to get your average speed up, after the out and back bike ride and Transition 2 the last competitor will head out on the 5km off road run, the run includes taking in the sights of the River Severn and the historic Severn Valley Railway, and finally you will have to overcome the 1km uphill to the finish line. You will be greeted over the line by our on site DJ and will recieve a medal and goody bag.
