Tadcaster Duathlon 15 March 2020

Tadcaster DuathlonAfter a 20 year gap the Tadcaster Duathlon is back! This is the ideal event for those trying out their first multi sport event or the experienced racer testing winter fitness. The format is 5km run 20km cycle 5km run.

From the race HQ at Tadcaster Grammar School you will race across the stunning school grounds on grass before entering the woods for a good 'old skool' cross country run vibe. The first run will be 5km, and after transitioning onto the bike you will ride out towards Bramham, passing Bramham Park, dropping into Thorner before turning towards Hetchall Woods and then back towards Tadcaster. The bike section is 20km on quiet country roads and is 'lumpy' in profile. Upon entering transition you will again head out onto the parkland of Tadcaster Grammar School for another 5km.

The event aims to raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Full changing and shower facilities will be available, event timing and a finishers T-shirt. After you finish refreshments will be available on site.

A GO TRI duathlon will be available for younger family members aged 8 upwards. This will be run after the main event so hang around to support the future athletes of tomorrow. This was one of the best early season events in the UK. Let's make it great again.

Skipton Triathlon 19 April 2020

Image result for skipton tri 2020One of the biggest and best pool based triathlon in England, now in its 15th year.
Sprint distance race based at the fabulous Aireville Park and Craven Leisure Centre. Popular with first timers and women and very popular with club members as one of the first races of the year with 80 different clubs represented.
Race also has a competitive team entry field with about 20 teams all starting in same swim wave start.

We have a max swim time of 20 minutes so if you're new to triathlon please time yourself for the 400m/16 lengths to get an accurate swim time for your entry.  In the 2018 race we only had a couple of people that swam 20mins.

The Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice is the race's Designated Charity. They provide expert palliative care, advice and support for local people who are living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families. This specialist care and support are free to the users but Manorlands needs to raise £2.1 million per year, to keep this essential provision in our local area.

You can either donate an amount when you enter (merchandise section) or sign up direct with Sue Ryder Manolands for their fundraising pack. Thank you for considering supporting this excellent local charity.
