The same criteria apply for all World Triathlon World Championship events and distances.

Athletes will be eligible for Pre-Qualification (PQ) to a World Triathlon World Championship event if they have met one of the following criteria;

  2. Win their age group at the previous years British Championship race of equivalent event and distance.
  • To accept the Pre-Qualified (PQ) place athletes must register by 5pm on the PQ deadline provided in the Qualification section of the event webpage and also provided in the PQ confirmation email. If registration is closed it will be re-opened for athletes with PQs to register.
  • Failure to register by the deadline will result in the PQ place not being awarded.
  • Pre-qualification places cannot be transferred to different events, distances or years.
  • It is an athletes responsibility to check the Age-Group event registration list on the event webpage to confirm that they have a ‘PQ’ next to their name by 5pm on the final registration deadline. If it is not showing they must email the event Team Manager and agegroup@britishtriathlon.org.

  • PQ places are not rolled down if an athlete who does PQ moves up an age group.
