  1. To be eligible to win Super Series points athletes must hold a British Triathlon Home Nations Membership and have entered the race by the Sunday preceding each event.
  2.  To count for all races in the series this should be done in time for the first race.
  3. When entering you must input your full details ensuring they match your British Triathlon membership profile i.e. correct first name, full name, date of birth and membership number.
  4. If you enter the event before the closing date and then become a member you must inform Welsh Triathlon before the Welsh Triathlon Super Series closing date (serial 1) by contacting

If you want to collect points for your clubs, you also need to ensure that you clearly enter your club name when entering the race.  These will not be retrospectively added after the race as they have a knock-on effect of all the scores that are accumulated further down the finishing times. You cannot enter different clubs for each event, we will only take the first club you enter on your first event

What are the Age categories?

To bring our sport into further alignment with British Triathlon, Triathlon England and Triathlon Scotland. In 2024 Welsh Triathlon are changing the current age group categories from 10 years to 5 years.

The Age groups for the 2024 National Champs and Super Series will be:

age categories for the super series 2024
Under 20

Your age category is dependent on your age as of 31st December that year.

How is the Welsh Triathlon Super Series scored?

Information on scoring for 2024 will be updated soon...

Number of races

It will be athletes’ best four scores across the series (best two for under 20 ) which will combine to create their individual points total, with clubs gaining points for every athlete who finishes within the top 59 places (61 for Stage 6) within their respective age categories.

Please note: Athletes must complete three stages to be eligible for a podium place at the end of the series (two stages for under 20 ).

Club Competition

We want a vibrant club competition which sees the friendly rivalry of Welsh Triathlon clubs showcased on the big screen. Our triathlon community is facilitated by you, the clubs across Wales. Here is your opportunity to show what you’re all about. Irrespective of the size of your club, all you need to gain maximum points for your club are five competitors, all of whom have registered their club name when entering the race. If your club isn't stated in your race entry, you won't be eligible to win points for your club at that race. If they happen to be competing across different age categories and genders, the more likely you are to be able to bag maximum points of 500. So irrespective if you are a well-established club with 250 members, or a newly founded club on the start of your triathlon journey, within the super series, you have the same chance of gaining points. You may have finished 100th overall, but if you’re the third best in your age category, that’s still an 85 point haul for your club. This way, everyone plays their part.

How is the Welsh Triathlon Super Series chosen?

Welsh Triathlon Super series events are chosen from Events organisers that submit a tender for hosting a major event.

We then work with our Welsh Technical Committee to make sure events are suitable to host, and plan events alongside the major events calendar across all 3 home nations including our National Championships to avoid any event clashes (where we can). We also have to plan that we don’t have back to back weekend racing, and try as best we can to spread the event across Wales but this depends on which event organiser have submitted to host a Major event.
