WELSH TRIATHLON ANNOUNCE CLUB ACCREDITATION THROUGH DISABILITY SPORT WALES INSPORT PROGRAM
Welsh Triathlon have been working with Disability Sport Wales to put in an accreditation scheme through the InSport Program. Welsh Triathlon would like to encourage all clubs to engage with the insport program.
Disability Sport Wales have developed a Toolkit which is intended to support the development of inclusive thinking, planning, development and delivery by the club so that ultimately, they could deliver across the spectrum to disabled and non-disabled people, potentially in a range of different formats. This toolkit is about good practice across the board. Engaging with the accreditation process will mean that opportunities for involvement in the sport(s) the clubs offer will increase.
Working with Disability Sport Wales, Welsh Triathlon will ensure that clubs are sustainable, well run and provide a safe and welcoming environment for its members and any prospective members. By completing each stage of InSport you will also provide participants, parents and guardians with the confidence that they are choosing the best club for them to take part in triathlon.
At each standard the insport Club logos will be provided to the club for use on their marketing and communications, and they will be promoted through the DSW website as well. In time, it will be a requirement for Welsh Triathlon clubs to have achieved Ribbon stage of accreditation through the InSport.

Welsh Triathlon are providing clubs who have completed their ribbon stage of accreditation by the 15th of June, 20% off a teams entry to the Welsh Triathlon Team Relay event on the 7th of July.
