Coaching

People become coaches for a variety of reasons, perhaps a parent wanting to help out with their child’s club, or an experienced Age-Group athlete wanting to give something back to the sport they enjoy.

Becoming a traithlon coach can bring huge rewards from introducing your sport to new people, helping other to improve their performance or simply to improve the health, fitness and well being of the people you coach. The role of the coach is vital to the success of all participants at every level. It allows you to meet people, you’ll also have a lot of fun and feel a real sense of achievement as a result of your efforts.

Coaching code of Practice

A code of practice defines what is considered good and correct behaviour of all British Triathlon coaches. It reflects the values held by the coaching profession, and outlines the expected conduct of members while they perform their duties. It will also be used as a benchmark to assess whether certain behaviours are acceptable or not acceptable.
As a qualified triathlon coach, you are expected to adhere to this code of practice at all times.
