Triathlon England Club Relay Championships 2017 will once again be an unmissable fun event on the tri social season calendar. In an individual sport, this is the perfect opportunity to race as a team with your friends and club mates, something that we don’t get to do very often.

This award-winning event is taking place on Saturday 26 August 2017, and is a great way to start your Bank Holiday weekend, many of the competitors normally camp at the venue camp site. Held totally within the grounds of the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, this event provides everyone, whatever their ability, age or gender, an excellent opportunity to race on a total closed road course and get behind your team.

From its inception in 1991, this event has become a ‘one of a kind organized chaos’ with teams of 4, each member completes one element of the triathlon, then tags the next person. The first person swims, then tags the second person, and so on until all four team members have swum. The fourth swimmer will hand over to the first cyclist. All four complete the closed road bike and run course, with the finishing line in front of the grandstand.

Whether part of a club or not, you can come and rally together with your friends and teammates to enjoy this day of fun, laughter and friendly competition.

In order to compete for Triathlon England national titles, all four members of the team completing need to be Home Nations members and registered to the same club.
