How do I find and download the app?
The Swim Bike Run app is available to download in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Simply search Swim Bike Run and it will appear in the results list. Select Get and it will download.
Do I need an account/membership with British Triathlon to download the app?
No, you don’t need to be a British Triathlon member or have an account with British Triathlon. You will need to have an Apple or Goggle account in order to download the app.

What’s the main idea of the app?
The Swim Bike Run app aims to attract new audiences to British Triathlon – the Home of Swim, Bike and Run. The app has four main components:
- SEEK – go on an adventure and try and find our unique characters in the real world. You can unlock prizes and entries to our prize draws by collecting different combinations of characters.
- ACTIVITY GOALS – unlock a character by completing 10,000 steps each day, for four days in a row (within a week).
- LOCATION CHECK IN – unlock a character by checking in or visiting the British Triathlon team, when they are out and about in England.
- TAKE YOUR NEXT STEP – learn more about British Triathlon and how to get involved in Swim, Bike and Run.
How do I stay up to date and unlock new features?
British Triathlon will continuously develop and update the Swim Bike Run app. We will notify you through the app, when an update is available. However, to allow your app to automatically update, when an update is available, please allow App Updates within Automatic Downloads in the App or Google Store Settings within Settings in your Phone.

SWIM BIKE RUN ADVENTURE
How do I get to the screen where I start searching for the characters?
Within the Swim Bike Run app, select Play from the home screen or select Seek from the menu to begin your app adventure.
I cannot get the seek mode to begin.
In order to play in seek mode, you will need to allow the app to access your camera. You will be asked this when you download the app, the first time you press play. If not, Select Swim Bike Run from your Phone Settings menu and ensure the Camera toggle is green.
My phone is notifying that the is a character to be located, but I can’t find that character.
Slowly move your phone (and therefore camera) around the room or area you are in. Look out for a triangular character and be aware the characters rotate, so you may only catch a glimpse. If you still can’t find the character, close the seek mode down and reopen and some new characters will be nearby.
My phone has locked whilst I am in seek mode, searching for characters, what should I do?
Unlock your phone and you should re-enter into seek mode.
My phone has frozen whilst I am in seek mode, searching for characters, what should I do?
This may happen from time to time, due to connectivity, mobile data and signal availability. Simply close the app and restart.
ACTIVITY CHALLENGE
What is the activity challenge?
The activity challenge is to complete 10,000 steps by walking or running each day, for four days in a week.
How long have I got to do the challenge within?
Each activity challenge will last for one week and then it will reset in case you wish to participate again. From time-to-time new challenges will be introduced.
Can I do the challenge more than once?
Yes, you can participate in the challenge as many times as you like. It’s a great to motivate you to get active.
The challenge isn’t linked to my Health/Steps counter?
The first time you select Activity Challenge from the menu, you will be asked to allow the Swim Bike Run app to access and update your Health data or Goggle Fit data. If you miss this at the beginning, if you go into your Apple Health Data app or Google Fit app and select the Data Sources & Access in the Options and then ensure the toggle is green for the Swim Bike Run app.
My steps aren’t pulling through to the Activity Challenge Tracker.
Firstly, ensure you have linked your Apple Health data or Google Fit app as above. Once you complete 1000 steps on any given day, there may be a slight delay before the steps data pulls through to your app. If this isn’t working, close your app and re-open and it should pull through if you have linked correctly.
MY COLLECTION AND WINNING PRIZES
How do I know what prizes there are to win?
Within in the app, if you select Your Collection from the menu, underneath Your Collected Characters, is a section called Your Offers. You can click on the + option and it will introduce you to the different prizes that are on offer to you (some via prize draws). Each offer highlights which combination of characters you need to locate and collect and how many of each character you need. If you select the Set Offer button, you can add that offer to Your Offers.
How do I add a prize offer to my collection?
In the section called Your Offers within the Your Collections page, if you click on the + and it will introduce you to the different prizes that are on offer to you (some via prize draws). Each offer highlights which combination of characters you need to locate and collect and how many of each character you need. If you select the Set Offer button, you can add that offer to Your Offers.
How do I know what characters and how many characters I need to collect to be able to claim a prize or be entered into a prize draw?
For each available offer, there is a section that says “Requires”. If you click on the small i icon next to “Requires” the offer will expand and show each of the characters you require to have a chance to win that prize and how many of each character you need to collect.
Are all prizes won via a prize draw?
Many of the prizes are won via by a prize draw, however, there are a few prizes that can be won simply by collecting the required combination of characters. Examples of these are the Character Stickers and the Descente Beanie.
How often will prize draws take place?
Prize draws will take place every two weeks from the launch of the Swim Bike Run app, until all the prizes have been won and allocated.
How will you know my information to send me a prize if I am a winner?
Once you have collected the required combination and number of characters for a specific offer, the claim button will become bold, and you will be able to select the claim button. You will then be asked to input some basic personal details in order to enter the prize draw and we will get in touch if you are a winner.
How often will be character collection reset?
After each prize draw the offer expires and in order to enter new prize draws you will need to select “Set Offer” from the Available Offers screen and then begin to collect the characters once again.
