The Derbyshire Triathlon Academy is now in its 2nd year of operating and it has been very successful with over 25 youngsters enlisted some of whom have now moved onto the East Midlands Academy.

The Derbyshire Triathlon Academy is now in its 2nd year of operating and it has been very successful with over 25 youngsters enlisted some of whom have now moved onto the East Midlands Academy.
We are very proud to announce that we are now based at the High Performance Unit ( HPU) at Derby University. We still also have full access to other facilities including swimming pools, open water swim venues & an enclosed motor racing circuit.
If you are between 12 years and 16 years and would like to gain further experience and training in triathlon with other junior athletes of a similar ability come along to the ‘Assessment Day’ on the 30th September at Derby University. (see the programme below).
Stephen Greene and Hilary Johnson are the ‘lead coaches’ and are both British Triathlon High Performance Level 3 coaches and have coached at an Academy level for a number of years. They are also supported by a number of British Triathlon qualifies coaches from different clubs, who are able to bring additional skills and expertise with the main aim of athlete development.
This coming year we are extending our monthly training days to include a training camp at Hartington YHA. Details as below.
