Local Triathlon clubs Nottingham Triathlon Club, TFN, Chesterfield Tri, ICARUS, 100percenttri, Outlaw and Virtual Runner, Arch2arc Journey and Velo Bavarian cycled the new Outlaw Half Nottingham bike course on Sunday and to raise awareness for Sam Perkins Stand Against MND Charity.
Some of his fundraisers who are taking part at the Outlaw Half Nottingham, joined the ride for Sam’s Fifty50 campaign, representing the 50% chance of dying in the first two years after diagnosis. He aims to raise £25,000 to add to the nearly £200,000 already raised for research into MND.

It was a mixed group from Team GB age groupers to first timers at the Half Outlaw distance and participants in the Aquabike event. Everyone really enjoyed the new course. It’s fast, flat, on quiet country roads that will benefit all abilities and those that rode on Sunday can’t wait for May 19th now. It’s sold out so it’s going to be a massive event. There was a very well earnt coffee and cake at the world famous Caffe Velo Verde which is on the route. Met some new people which made a good day even better.
