GO TRI is a fun way to try something new and challenge yourself. On 25/26 April join 1000 people across the country taking part in their first event. In the East Midlands there are 5 new Go Tri Events for you to try. Everyone starts somewhere and there's nothing like the feeling of achievement when you can say, "I did it!".
The weekend 25/26 April has been named GO TRI 1000. This weekend will see over 30 separate venues hosting an event spread right across the country. The aim of this weekend is to encourage 1,000 new participants to take part in their first multi-sport action.
In the East Midlands there are 5 venues participating in this weekend. They are as follow:
GO TRI Skegness Duathlon - 25 April This is a 1 mile run 6.2 bike and 1mile run to finish. Start time 10am. Venue - Fresh Fitness Richmond Holiday Centre, Skegness, Lincolnshire, PE25 3TQ. Entry fee £5. Hosted by Skegness Triathlon Club.
GO TRI Aquathon Chesterfield - 26 Apri This eventhas two distances: 100m swim, 1km run or a 200m swim and 2km run. Venue - Queens Park Leisure Centre, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S40 2ND. Entry fee £5. Hosted by Chesterfield Triathlon Club.
GO TRI Loughborough Aquathon - 26 April This event is a 200m swim and 3km run around the town centre of Loughborough. Start time 9am. Venue - Loughborough Leisure Centre, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 3HE. Entry fee £5 with all money going to charity. Hosted by Fusion Lifestyle.
GO TRI Melton Aquathon - 26 April This is a 200m swim and a 3km run around the local park. Start time 12pm. Venue - Waterfield Leisure Centre, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, LE13 0BG. Entry fee £5. Hosted by Belvoir Triathlon Club.
GO TRI Newark Aquathon - 26 April This aquathon is a 250m swim and a 3km run around a large grassed sports field. Venue - Grove Leisure Centre, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 3AL. Entry fee £5.50. Hosted by Lincoln Triathlon Club.
All participants should register at the Go Tri website that will provide the link to teach of the above GO TRI Events. Each person that registers will be entered into a draw for £250 worth of vouchers. What are you waiting for!!
