The East Midlands Team travelled to Strathclyde this last weekend to compete in the Inter Regionals Championships (IRC’s).
This is the pinnacle race for some of the country’s best younger triathletes ages 11- 14 years. Youngsters from all over the country compete as a team against one another. It is great event for youngsters, really exciting both watch and take part in
Team managers Hilary Johnson and Steve Greene were hugely delighted with how the athletes performed to achieve a 3rd place on the podium, a testimony to all their hard work throughout the season.
The team rose to the challenge and there were some very notable performances especially from Freya Batkin who won the TS2 girls race overall. A huge well done to the athletes and the support from their families.
