Victoria Bovill-Lamb of Steeple Chasers Running and Cycling Club received a very special thank you from the One Show in November when Alex Jones dropped into her online strength and conditioning session.
Members of the club had nominated Bovill-Lamb to publicly recognise and thank her for the work she’s put in throughout 2020 to help their local community keep connected and keep active.
Bovill-Lamb was asked to make her way to the local scout hut where a further surprise was waiting for her, with members of the club and messages from Alistair Brownlee and Chrissie Wellington on a big screen giving her one big thank you.
Having been diagnosed with multiple-sclerosis a couple of years ago, she knows the importance of an active lifestyle and set up Steeple Chasers Running and Cycling Club to keep people physically and mentally fit during the pandemic.
The British Triathlon Affiliated Club has brought people together for online activities, as well as in-person sessions when allowed.
