Taunton Deane Triathlon – Wiveliscombe 2024:
The Taunton Deane Triathlon is back after 6 years and now at a new venue; Wiveliscombe, Somerset. This popular, club-run event will start in the market town’s open-air swimming pool before heading out into the stunning Somerset countryside for an undulating ride and finishing with a lapped run over mixed terrain.
There are 2 distances available, a Sprint and Super Sprint, each making use of the same course with an additional time-trial section added to the bike route for the Sprint race. All finishers will receive a memento of their achievement.
The event HQ will make use of the Wiveliscombe Recreation Ground allowing plenty of space for your supporters to enjoy the day with you.
About us:
Somerset RC Tri club is based in Taunton and has over 150 members. The club was formed in 1996 and this will be the 21st running of the event.
The Wiveliscombe Community Swimming Pool opened nearly 100 years ago and is locally known as Wivey Pool. This unique outside pool, it’s 30 yards long, gives athletes the opportunity to swim in the open air, in the safety of a pool environment.
