Harewood House is the family seat of the Earl and Countess of Harewood and has been passed down through generations of the Lascelles family. The iconic architecture of the house and the art collections have been evolving throughout this time and continue to develop today.
There’s a great deal to explore. The house was furnished by Chippendale, boasts silk covered walls and intriguing artwork provide a feast for the eyes. From Princess Mary’s bedroom to the fascinating insights from “Below Stairs”, Harewood tells a story that’s not to missed.
The award winning gardens boast an Italianate Terrace, designed by Charles Barry, which stretches along the South Front of the House and provides stunning views of ‘Capability’ Brown's landscape and the lake. There are over 100 acres of exquisite gardens; a plant-hunter’s paradise in the Himalayan garden and an extensive working kitchen garden.

Overview
Brownlee Tri North will take place on Sunday 21st September 2014, and will be hosted by Harewood House near Leeds. Sitting in the heart of Yorkshire, close to where the brothers grew up and now live, Harewood provides not only a stunning setting, but the opportunity for entrants to ride the same roads that the Tour de France will race on earlier in the summer.
The venue will host both sprint and super-sprint triathlon distances for individuals, as well as having a youth and junior super-sprint challenge, and a sprint relay for teams. Whether you are a seasoned triathlete or taking on your first ever race, there really will be something for everyone. In addition, there will be plenty for spectators and supporters to enjoy, with a full entertainment programme which is set to ensure a fun day out for the whole family.
