East Essex Kids Triathlon

Event Overview

Our children's triathlon will again take place at the Basildon Sporting Village in 2023. We will be using one of the 25 metre pools and the athletics track within the complex, and a looped bike course and out-and-back run in the surrounding Gloucester Park.

One of the main aims of our children's events is to encourage newcomers into the sport and we are confident that, once again, we will see many children trying a triathlon for the first time. This race will also be one to remember for family and friends as well as those racing.

The swimming pool has a large seating area and the final stage of the run is on the athletics track in front of the seated and covered grandstand. The race is suitable for beginners as well as serious competitors with experienced marshals on hand to guide you through the event.

For the more competitive TriStars & Youths, this race forms part of Triathlon Englands’s East Region Junior Race Series.
