Overview

A friendly low key GO TRI at the picturesque Amble Marina. The event comprises of a 300m single lap river swim, an 8km bike ride on quiet roads, and a 2.4km multi lap run on grass. This is a great option if you’re looking to try an open water event with supportive and encouraging Marshalls and on water safety cover.

Whilst wetsuits in triathlon events are only mandatory if the water temperature is below 14 degrees, British Triathlon recommends that all swimmers, especially novices and age-groupers, use a wetsuit at temperatures up to 22 degrees - they not only protect against the cold but also help to provide buoyancy so do make the swim easier. For the Go Tri we'll be recommending wetsuits but it is entirely up to the athlete.

Race HQ will be the Coquet Yacht Club with parking available in nearby pay and display car parks.
Registration from 7.30am.
Race information will be e-mailed to competitors prior to the event.
