The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University have joined forces to deliver this amazing event for you to try your first ever triathlon. The GO TRI event is part of the TRI SOMETHING NEW programme launched by Leeds City Council and British Triathlon and supported by Sport England. The GO TRI will give you a fantastic opportuntiy to try multisport in a fun and friendly environment.
Utilising the stunning Headingley Campus, competitors will get their chance to swim, bike and run on this quiet course.
Starting with an 8 length swim of our heated pool, you will transition to your bike just 100m away, complete a 6km cycle (5 laps) and finish it off with a 2.3km run (3 laps).
This course is perfect for people wanting to try their first ever multisport event, with manageable distances.
We will also be providing all entrants with a digital introduction to GO TRI. This will include a guide to the Headingley Campus route, how to prepare for a transition and how to prepare for your first GO TRI.
