GO TRI Local is for people that are brand new to swim, bike and run and looking to take their first steps in a safe and enjoyable environment. GO TRI Local takes place within the heart of your community; at the same time, on the same date, at the same place, with the same distances every month allowing you to track your progress over time. GO TRI Local Mallory Park is a great opportunity for everyone to try out a multisport event on a closed road race circuit. In this case a duathlon and triathlon, which consists of a run, bike, run or a swim, bike run.
The distances for this GO TRI Local are: 1.2km run or 200m lake swim, 7.5km bike (5 laps of flat oval circuit), 1.2km run. We also offer a flexi-distance option where you can do any distance up to the full distance GO TRI, this is ideal if you want to build up to the GO TRI distance each event. These events are not focused on racing, but we will provide an overall time for each individual taking part.
The lower age limit to enter is 8 years old, there is no upper age limit. Toilets, showers and changing rooms will be available. The start time is 18:30. All 8 year old's must be able to swim 200m and be accompanied on the swim by an adult.
