GO TRI Local is for people that are brand new to swim, bike and run and looking to take their first steps in a safe and enjoyable environment. GO TRI Local Torbay is a monthly opportunity for new and aspiring participants to come and give a swim, bike and run a go in a fun and non-competitive environment, with a fully off road course.
These opportunities are all about having fun and building your confidence. We have set out the minimum distances for each element of the event. The bike and run elements are lapped, so you can do as much or as little as you want on the day! e.g. more experienced participants can do a 150m swim, a 6K bike (4 laps of the velopark) and a 2k run (3 laps of our run course).
FAMILIES ENCOURAGED Children as young as 4 (provided they can swim 50m) can take part with a responsible adult taking part with them. You start with a pool based swim, followed by a Velopark ride on smooth, flat tarmac and a flat parkland run.
