This is a fun and friendly open water event for all abilities. It is run by qualified triathlon coaches from Newcastle(staffs)triclub who are available to provide support and guidance.
The aquathlon is open to 13+ years and it involves a 400m open water swim followed by a 1600m run.The open water swim is in Astbury Mere which is a disused quarry and the run is on a gravel path around the Mere. The swim is wetsuit compulsory and swimmers must be able to swim 400m comfortably.
