At Seashell Trust, we believe that promoting access to sports is hugely important for the health, wellbeing and attainment of young people with complex learning disabilities and or physical disabilities. As a tutor in Royal College Manchester’s Autism Support Course, I’ve seen firsthand how athletics has helped create opportunities for my students to learn about their bodies, social skills, personal care, self-regulation, and to achieve.That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that we are adding a triathlon to our inclusive sports programme this summer. After two pilot events, GO TRI Seashell will run a triathlon for athletes aged 14+ with complex learning disabilities, suitable for all children aged 8-14, what ever their capabilities at Seashell Trust, Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire, SK8 6RQ.Our specialist equipment including a hydrotherapy pool, adapted bicycles and MotoMed bikes will be made available during the event, as will our swimming pool and brand new DRIVEDECK.
