Meeting point

Llandovery is an ancient market town situated on the west bank of the upper reaches of the river Towy in Carmarthenshire. The name itself is an anglicised form of the welsh, Llanymddyfri, which means ‘Church amongst the Waters’. The swimming pool is located at the heart of Llandovery with ample car parking nearby.

Overview

This is an event suitable for all abilities including complete triathlon novices. The 400m pool swim takes place in the Llandovery Swimming pool with a 20km bike ride along the scenic rural road up towards Rhandirmwyn. A straight out and bike course will provide a good test for any cyclist. The 5km run will then take you along the streets of Llandovery town and out into the countryside once again. This is an undulating 5k run which finishes at the Llandovery pool.
