Ellerton Park is a fresh water, spring fed 60 acre lake. Quoted by one of the leading triathlon magazines as "the clearest lake in the north of England for swimming". Lakeside Farm Shop and Country Cafe is located within a short distance from the lake. We offer a wide range of fresh farm produce together with homemade food, sourced locally with an emphasis on quality and value. Overview

Voted best 2014 event in the North East by Triathlon England

Start Time: 7pm

Minimum Age: 15 (based on the age as at the 31st December in the current year)

Overview: The events are ideal for beginners looking to complete their first open water triathlon as well as the more experienced triathlete looking to test themselves before a big race or use as a training session. The course will consist of a 400m open water swim at Ellerton Water Park, followed by a 15.5km bike on quiet country roads before completing a flat 2.2km run course around the lake. More information and maps can be found at our website which will be launched later in the year.

There is a £50 cash prize to any male or female who break the course record after all 3 events have taken place!

The current course records are: Male: Calum Johnson 38.31 on 27th August 14

                                                    Female: Emma Holt 41.26 on 23rd July 14
