Our Sprint and Supersprint triathlon returns to a stunning course starting and finishing at Blackpool Sands beach. It's a challenging course with some climbs but also flat sections on both the run and the bike where you can really put the hammer down. 750 metre swim (for 400m for Supersprint). Blackpool Sands is naturally sheltered. The swim will start at the West end of the beach then swim diagonally across the bay for 375 metres before exiting to run up the beach and into T1. 20.3km bike (for sprint & supersprint) - The bike leg starts with a tough climb up towards Strete. But you're rewarded with a great view at the top and a fast down hill. Then it's time to get down on the tri bars on Devon's flattest stretch of road along Slapton beach and past Slapton Ley before turning right for the gentle climb up to Stokenham roundabout where you turn and retrace. 5km run (2.5k for Supersprint) - The run is new for 2017. From Blackpool Sands you'll climb up the South West coastpath heading East and crossing the road at the top of the hill to continue along the path (well clear of the bike route) before turning and retracing down the road to the entrance to Blackpool Sands. nb Ticket price includes a quality event t-shirt , swim hat, electronic chip timing (including transition splits) and prizes.
