Charlie Harding has forged a strong partnership with PTVI paratriathlete Oscar Kelly which has taken them to the Commonwealth Games, World Triathlon Para Championships and to the World Triathlon Para Series podium.
After being inspired by watching his mum race, Charlie began competing in local triathlons near to his hometown of Penrith at age seven, going onto become part of the North West Triathlon Academy and a regular in the British Triathlon Super Series.
First guiding Oscar in 2019, the pair have won medals together at World Triathlon Para Cups and at World Triathlon Para Series Montreal where they secured silver in 2022, their first World Triathlon Para Series medal as a pairing.
Their first World Triathlon Para Championships appearance came in 2021 where they placed sixth despite a crash on the bike, before returning to Abu Dhabi a year later to finish seventh in 2022.
In the summer of 2022, Charlie guided Oscar at Birmingham 2022 where PTVI paratriathlon made its Commonwealth Games debut. They still managed to record a top-five finish despite a puncture early on the bike.
