Coached Open Water Swimming Session - LONDON
British Triathlon are looking for some triathletes and open water swimmers to come along to be coached in the Open Water for just £5!
A number of British Triathlon coaches will be attending an open water coaching workshop to develop their Open Water coaching skills. An integral part of the workshop is the applied practical experience the coaches will get from coaching a session with a group of swimmers. This means we need you to come and swim!
- Date: 23rd June 2019
- Location: Docklands Sailing & Water Sports Centre, London
- Time: 1.45pm to 4.30pm
- Kit Required: Wetsuit, Goggles, Swim Hat, Warm/Dry Clothing
The length of time in the water will depend on a number of factors including weather on the day and number of swimmers in each group. After session you will be given the opportunity to provide feedback to the coaches you worked with as part of their development. There will be changing facilities and refreshments available to purchase on site.
This session is only appropriate for people who have had experience of swimming in open water environments. It will not be suitable to those who have never swam in open water before. As a guide, we recommend that you need to be able to comfortably swim 400m in open water without pause. All swimmers will need to sign a Participant Disclaimer and Health Information form. This will be sent out prior to the workshop.
Places are limited to 40 swimmers
