Course Information

British Triathlon, in partnership with the Salford Community Leisure, would like to invite you to join a pilot of our new schools triathlon resources, which aims to introduce triathlon to children and teachers in a school setting.

You will receive a school resource pack and teacher training free of charge to help you deliver swim, bike, run activities for your school, either during the school day or as an after-school activity.

The school resource pack includes a batch of session plans ready for you to deliver, aimed at pupils aged 8 years+, suitable for all levels of ability and experience.

The session plans are linked to the national curriculum and are based on British Triathlon’s Skills School approach (Engage, Explore, Enhance, Excel). We strive to increase children’s self-esteem, awareness, confidence and ability through participation in triathlon.

The teacher training will be a 3-hour workshop helping you to understand the key principles of the sessions, how to deliver or adapt the sessions, and will include time for you to try out some of the sessions yourself.
