Course Information

Level 2 Triathlon Coach  

This  course has been selected for video assessment instead of attending an assessment day (day 5) -  we are piloting this to see if we can make courses more accessible.  The cost of this course has been reduced to reflect this change.

Essentially you will  video a session in your own club environment, and submit this via the Learning hub in the same way as the rest of the online assessments.  Feedback will be given by course tutors by phone.  And there will be a final course webinar to close the course.

• Whilst this course does not have a day 5  you will get the same assessment and process.
• You can complete where  and when  ready  (there will be a 12 week deadline)
• We will support you in this process and give  detailed guidance on filming the session 
• You will need a device to film the  20min session ( a smart phone is perfect )

Fully updated in 2016, with new learner resources, online assessment and innovative delivery methods on course to give coaches an engaging learning experience 
This course is accessible to learners from the age of 18, who hold a Level 1 triathlon coaching qualification or who have experience of coaching and meet the direct entry requirements.

Course Content 

• Understanding and analysing athletes 
• Planning a series of sessions 
• Working with  a range of ages, abilities and aspirations
• Coaching safety including open water swimming 

Overview 

• 4 day delivered course 
• The initial 4 days will focus on practical delivery. The  final section will include assessment, personal review and action planning with your course tutor 
• 45-65 hours of home study work (e-learning and assessment)
