Course Information

This session will involve an interactive discussion on coaching successes or personal challenges. Your hosts, Alan and Scott, will facilitate the conversation by sharing their experiences and reflections on the topic. The discussion will delve into both metric-based approaches and subjective reflective practices. It is actively encouraged to engage with personal experiences and insights to contribute to the collective learning of the group.

 

Pre-requisites: Bring your curiosity, engagement and willingness to participate. The session is part of a series designed to help experienced coaches connect and consider common but challenging topics.

"Alan Ward has been coaching in sports for over 20 years, in Table tennis, Football and Triathlon. With experience as an L3 Head Coach at clubs in North Devon and Plymouth Alan has moved to work as an online coach for the last 10 years from beginner to AG World Champions. During this time Alan has coached with the Regional Academy in the South West and also worked at Millfield School coaching triathlon full time. Alan holds an MSc in Coaching Science as well as a BA(Hons) in Applied Sports Science and Coaching. "Scott Fenwick, spent multiple years in the corporate environment before a mid-life career change to full time coaching. Scott qualified through the British Triathlon High Performance Coaching Programme (with Distinction). Scott was a club coach with Greenwich Tritons (London) and now coaches athletes on a 1-2-1 basis. Scott has coached individuals taking their first adventures into triathlon through to participation at AG European and World Championships.
