Course Information

Visiting a physiotherapist, sports masseur or sports rehabilitator can be an expensive business, but for those who are involved in regular sport and exercise it can also be a necessity.

Regular soft tissue work is an excellent way of ensuring improved performance and of avoiding injury.  This workshop will demonstrate a cost effective and easy to administer method of performing soft tissue work on yourself, using a foam roller and some other readily available tools.  While no substitute for a visit to a professional therapist, this approach can help to ensure you are able to perform regular soft tissue work on yourself.  This can help you to stay injury free and performing optimally in the long term.

This workshop will introduce attendees to the scientific theory behind foam rolling, to explain how it works, as well as providing instruction in a wide range of soft tissue techniques using rollers and explain how to use foam rolling as a diagnostic tool to help avoid injury.

This workshop is part of the Yorkshire Regional AGM and Awards.  After the session you are encouraged to stay for lunch and stay for the AGM starting at 1pm.
