The Yorkshire region are hosting a national Skills School event at the event village, Roundhay Park, on Saturday 10th June and Sunday 11th June. Start at 10.30am and finish at 2.30pm on Saturday and 9.00am till 12.00pm on Sunday. Athletes are asked to book either Saturday or Sunday rather than both.
Who can attend?
It's for triathletes aged 10-16. As long as the young athlete is able to swim, bike and run for 5 minutes they are eligible for Skills School.
The sessions will be held at the Leeds WTS Ativity Zone in the Event Village. Please look out for the Skills School branding to check in
What the sessions are we focusing on?
The day will consist of running and cycling sessions focusing on a number skills and tactics specific to triathlon. We have access to a large grass area of Roundhay park suitable for off road cycling and running, therefore, athletes are asked to bring a bike that is suitable to riding on grass.
Skills School is a new British Triathlon initiative based around athletes exploring through play and developing their skills through creative and innovative sessions. The athletes will be encouraged to develop their technical, tactical and mental skills during the sessions.
