Workshops and courses in March

There’s plenty going on this March, check out these workshops, courses and training opportunities.

We are running a few workshops and training courses in March and also a GO TRI Women's Cycling Skills session that may interest you and your fellow clubmates. 

For each workshop I’ve given a brief outline of the content but more information can be found at the link   if you have any questions please get in touch.

Club Development Workshops
1.    13 March 2018 Effective Club Governance workshop
This workshop aimed at sports clubs aims to give guidance on what are the key features of a sports club and how the club can maximise is position in the sporting landscape. The workshop has been aligned to the new Code for Sports Governance at Tier which is linked to accessing funding. More information HERE
 

2.    24 March 2018 Open water Course
The Open Water Course is an engaging workshop designed to provide the attendee with the opportunity to learn and share experience on Water Quality, Water Safety, Course Design considerations and much more.  The workshop is delivered by industry experts and is tailored to suit any size of Triathlon event, Open Water Swimming event or Open Water training session, with practical considerations and thought provoking exercises. Running from 9am until 5pm, the course includes refreshments and a buffet lunch. More information HERE
  

3.    29 March 2018 Become Social Media Savvy workshop
Social media is a valuable tool to use but it can also be time consuming. Learn how to engage your followers, attract a new audience and use social media to grow your clubs and events using simple and effective techniques. More information HERE
 

Activator Courses
1.    4 March 2018 Open Water Activator
The one day workshop is designed to help inform and educate individuals wishing to support safe open water swimming across the UK. It is valuable role for every open water swim venue, as the activator is the key person that helps oversee the safe running of the swim sessions, develop relationships and implement practicalities before, during and after any swim session. 2.    17 March 2018 Young Person Activator Award
To provide young people (aged 14-17) with the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence to lead and assist in the delivery of triathlon sessions and grow participation in their local club, school, or community group. More information HERE
 

3.    18 March 2018 Community Activator (Run and Ride Leader)
To provide passionate and enthusiastic individuals (18+ Years of Age) with the confidence and skills to lead a variety of activities aimed at encouraging participation within the sport. More information HERE
 

GO TRI Activity
1.    18 March 2018 GO TRI Women's Cycle Skills Training for Beginners
GO TRI has teamed up with Tri50 ( www.tri50.co.uk )to offer a fully coached cycle session for beginner female cyclists led by an experienced L3 female coach. Come along to Minet Park, a one mile traffic-free circuit, to improve your bike handling skills and build confidence for competing in your first triathlon or cycling event, or simply for group riding on open roads.
