This year has seen Sophia Green make her senior debut, achieve her first senior podium and secure her first international gold medal at Europe Triathlon Cup races.

A member of the Triathlon Scotland Development Squad, Green trains at the University of Stirling where she is also currently a student. Having continued to train throughout the pandemic from home and in Stirling, she’s had standout performances on her racing return in 2021.

Starting in Poland, she made her senior debut at the Europe Triathlon Cup in Olsztyn where she crossed the line sixth before making her way to Dnipro in Ukraine and securing her first senior podium finish.

The following weekend she made the jump from third to first and won her inaugural international gold at the 2021 Europe Triathlon Cup Coimbra to round off three-weeks to remember for the young Scottish athlete.
