Teams of two men and two women will take on triathlon’s newest race format at the Accenture Mixed Relay Triathlon Canary Wharf on Tuesday 10 September.
Returning for its second year, this innovative event will see suits replaced with trisuits, as participants represent their companies to swim, bike and run as a team.
This exclusive triathlon event, which is completely free-to-view, has attracted teams from many of Britain’s most well-known brands. Teams are asked to fundraise or make a donation to the Official Event Charities, the Triathlon Trust and The Prince’s Trust, to help ensure the event doesn’t just end at the finish line.
The racing is set to be a thrilling spectacle for participants and spectators alike. With the action set amongst the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf, teams of 2 men and 2 women will complete a 300m swim in Middle Dock, 5km static bike ride in Jubilee Plaza and 1.5km traffic-free run on Bank Street.
In front of crowds from across Canary Wharf, Accenture Tri Club took the win last year in a time of 01:16:47. Team Captain Nick Flower commented, “with all the people who had cleared out of the office at 5 o’clock lining the bank of the dockland there was some pretty interesting encouragement, it was all part of the atmosphere."
