As the dust settles on a successful Olympic campaign for Team GB’s triathletes, this weekend features swim, bike, run of a different variety as middle distance and age group racing takes the spotlight.
IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder
Emma Pallant-Browne will be Great Britain’s sole representative in the pro race in the US state of Colorado. Taking on the Rocky Mountains as well as strong competition on the field, Pallant-Browne approaches the race on the back of a gold medal win at IRONMAN 70.3 Florida in April as well as podium finishes at IRONMAN 70.3 St. George in May and IRONMAN 70.3 Des Moines in June.
IRONMAN 70.3 Gdynia
James Teagle and Lucy Hall are both set to return to racing in Poland after finding success at Challenge Gdansk in June. Teagle won gold after a surge forward in the bike leg gave him a time advantage he would extend before taking the tape at the finish. Last month Teagle raced at Outlaw Half Holkham, crossing the finish with a time of 03:52:13 after another strong cycle saw him pull away from his competition.
When racing at Challenge Gdansk Lucy Hall began with a positive start, exiting the water after a typically strong swim. The Brit maintained an impressive pace to take her place on the podium with a silver medal alongside race winner Sarissa de Vries (NED) and 3rd place Leanne Fanoy (NED).

An open water swim at Coney Beach will kick off the Welsh National Standard Distance Triathlon Championships as participants set out to compete across the Olympic distance along the South Wales coast.
