British Triathlon has partnered with The Campus, a high performance training centre, to host a training week exclusively for its members from 25 November to 1 December 2019.
The Campus is a training centre in Quinta do Lago, Portugal which is popular with elite athletes from a range of different sports including triathlon. Throughout the week, members will benefit from a variety of coached swim sessions, guided bike rides and runs, as well as receive full access to The Campus High Performance Centre.
As a venue The Campus has played host to triathlon and paratriathlon events, as well as Olympic and Paralympic athletes showing it is an accessible venue committed to providing a professional level of training and coaching to all.
Set in the Algarve’s Ria Formosa National Park, The Campus benefits from quiet local roads, a state of the art aquatic centre and private lakes, making it a great venue for triathlon and multi-sport training.
The camp is suitable for all members of an intermediate or advanced level who are comfortable in taking part in a sprint distance triathlon. Accommodation will be provided in the nearby Magnolia Hotel, which boasts a heated outdoor pool, cinema and spa, offering you the chance to relax after your training.
British Triathlon Ultimate members will have priority booking and be offered exclusive rates for bed & breakfast and half board accommodation.
Booking information can be found in your member benefits area.
Mark Rohan, double Paralympic champion who will be supporting on the camp, said: “I am excited to share The Campus’ sports environment and my own knowledge of the local area with British Triathlon and give members a personalised training experience to remember.”
Gaby Hay, Head of Membership at British Triathlon, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with The Campus, and are confident that the facilities and experiences on offer will be of real benefit to our British Triathlon family. Our high performance athletes have already spent numerous weeks training at this resort and the feedback has been second-to-none.”
