British Triathlon are excited to reveal the new Great Britain Age-Group Team trisuit which has been specifically designed for GB Age-Group athletes with a fresh design and new features.
Supplied by Scimitar Sportswear, who also worked with British Triathlon on the official GB Age-Group Teamwear range launched in 2020, the new trisuit is the first update to the age group race suit since 2017 and age group athletes will get the chance to wear the new design from this summer.
The new trisuit is available for all GB Age-Group Team members to pre-order from today (26 May) with next month’s World Sprint Triathlon and Mixed Relay Championships in Montreal the first time the new design will be worn.
Athletes have the option of choosing either a sleeveless or short-sleeved option, both available in men’s and women’s sizing, with the short-sleeved trisuit now able to be worn in sprint and standard distances races, including aquathlons, in addition to middle and long distance racing.
A women’s specific O-back trisuit, designed specifically with women’s fit in mind, will also be coming soon as part of the new design.
The trisuit, which is light and dark blue, features a distinctive Union Flag design, ribbed, aerodynamic panels on the sides of the body and along the sleeves, quick drying fabrics, lightweight rear zipper with reachable pull chord, and silicone grippers on the arms and legs.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Nicky Dick, Board Director for Age Group Teams, said: “We’re really excited to finally launch the new Great Britain Age-Group Team trisuit design with various style options. A lot of thought and work has gone into the design not only to achieve its distinctive appearance but also to ensure the new cutting-edge features give athletes the best possible experience when competing.
“It’s been something we have been working on for the last 12 months, so we’re delighted to finally see the design come to life and be able to share the new trisuit for everyone to see. We can’t wait to see GB Age-Group Team members wearing it with pride at international events very soon.”
The first chance to try on the new GB Age-Group trisuit will be at the British Triathlon Age-Group Celebration Cup on Sunday 29 May at Mallory Park where Age-Group athletes will be able to try on for size.
The new Age-Group Team trisuit will be available to pre-order from the British Triathlon online shop here. GB Age-Group Team athletes will be provided with a unique kit code enabling them to order the trisuit.
