New online CPD for coaches

Published:

British Triathlon have created a new series of opportunities for coaches to continue in their development during lockdown.

To help support coaches and the athletes they coach, a series of video podcasts (vodcasts) will be available on the British Triathlon Learning Hub to offer insight and advice to coaches of all levels.

The vodcasts will be delivered by a range of coaches, educators and athletes, who will share about their experiences and the knowledge they’ve gained.

In the first vodcast, British Triathlon’s Olympic and Paralympic Head Coaches, Ben Bright and Jonathan Riall, discuss their philosophies in coaching some of the best athletes in the world.

Viewers will also hear from Emma Springham, Regional Coach from East of England, who will discuss coaching children and young people; Kate Offord and one of the athletes she coaches on their dynamic; and British Triathlon nutritionist Lucy Wainwright.

There will be further vodcasts on engaging with disabled athletes, including an interactive session guide running for visually impaired athletes.

These topics and guests have been chosen to help bring a range of perspectives and insight; and provide guidance from across different coaching disciplines.
