Nirvana Europe has today extended its partnership as official travel partner of British Triathlon for four more years continuing one of the longest partnerships in British sport.

Celebrating 20 years together in 2022, Nirvana is British Triathlon’s longest-serving partner, providing travel and accommodation packages for athletes and spectators to World and European Championship events.

The extension to the existing contract until 2025 will continue Nirvana’s long-term support of the British Age-Group Team, as well as the growing major event portfolio recently announced as part of British Triathlon’s new major event strategy.

During the 20 years since the partnership was first signed, swim, bike, run has grown enormously in the UK, including becoming a regular host for international events and the GB teams achieving unprecedented success at all levels including at the Olympic and Paralympic Games and Age-Group level.

The long-term relationship with British Triathlon has seen Nirvana build its expertise in the sport as one of the world’s leading triathlon travel and accommodation specialists; also providing a range of services to support athletes, such as sport therapy, bike transport, training camps and when required, chartered flights for international competitions.

Andy Salmon, Chief Executive of British Triathlon, said:

“We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Nirvana for a further four years especially as we approach 20 years of working together; an incredible feat which demonstrates the positive and strong relationship we have established across those two decades.

“Nirvana’s industry expertise and understanding of the sport is invaluable in our vision to create great experiences through swim, bike and run, and the extension continues our unwavering commitment to provide trusted, world-class event services for our athletes and events.

“During the 20 years since the partnership was first formed, the travel and sport industry has constantly evolved and a lot has changed during that time, and, as we look forward to a busy 2022 of events, the first of our new three-year major events strategy, these next four years could be the most exciting yet.”

Nigel Morris, Managing Director of Nirvana Europe, said:

“I am thrilled that we have been able to extend our partnership with British Triathlon. The sport of triathlon has come a long way in the last twenty years and it’s a really exciting time to be involved with the announcement of British Triathlon’s new three-year major events strategy.

“The whole team at Nirvana Europe is looking forward to working with British Triathlon and supporting their innovative programme. The number of people taking part in the sport of triathlon is growing and we look forward to supporting customers on their event journeys so they can focus on taking part.”
